Communicating

It was perfect to communicate with the family that was on board with us. I wish they had a call button though!

So so

The chat worked only half of the time. It was very annoying not to be able to chat with people in our group when we needed to.

Great but could be better

It worked great as long as our wifi on the ship was working well. The biggest downside is that even though I had notifications turned on, I still wouldn’t receive notifications on messages and whatnot. It was our entire group that had this issue and we started using text messaging instead when we needed to find eachother. Otherwise worked well for events and other things going on in the cruise.

My Cruise

I have been cruising with carnival for a long time, I was very excited and sad at the same time as this Cruz was supposed to have my husband in it with us. Our cruise was supposed to be March 9 of 2024 however my husband passed away March 8 of 2024. Needless to say how sad this was for me for us for my whole family. I I love Carnival cruise Line I think you guys are fun and amazing. However I do have a complaint which is by the way my very first all these years. We had an elation restaurant as our main restaurant and the service The service was very slow omg and the food did not measured to other times. I just needed to tell you that. I still love cruising with you thought just please improve The Paradise please , thank you ❤️

CARNIVAL IS THE BEST TO CRUISE , i had the best time cruising with them and it was the best experience ive had!

Cruise on Celebration

Dec 28 2024- Jan 5 2025 This was an awesome experience, my 8th Carnival cruise but my daughter and my 9 year old grandsons 1st. We had an amazing time, the specialty restaurants were better than better, the Festival dining room staff were over the top- our room stewards (Al and others) went above and beyond our expectations! I have some difficulty walking and everyone went the extra mile to accommodate me! I was treated like a queen as I celebrated my 78th birthday on this cruise, as well as New Year’s Eve and day! There is no way to say enough to praise the food, the shows, the shops, the cleanliness, the photography staff, and just the whole package! Thanks for the memories!

FACTS

It helped a lot because this was our first cruise and did not know what was going on also the drinks where good and the food !! I definitely recommend for first time cruisers and all cruisers !!!

Push notifications

A lot of times we missed messages from family. It would help if we could get push notifications from chat like we do for meals.

Hate using the app

I prefer not to look at my phone ever, especially on vacation!

Priority Numero Uno!!!

For a group of 8 adults & 12 kids this app single-handedly made the cruise an absolute BLAST! Having it on everyone’s devices let us keep track of the kids, and it made it easy for them to find a friend (even ship friends) to do something with — so nobody sat around bored or lonely! For months the kids didn’t want to delete the app because they would go back and read the chats together laughing about all the inside jokes & funny experiences. 5 out of 5 ice cream cones!!! (the real rating scale onboard)

Could use some improvements

Overall the app works fine but since you have a to pay for the chat feature it could be improved like sending notifications when someone chats with you. You have to either constantly check the chat or be on the app the whole time to get a message which made it more challenging to enjoy the cruise as well as stay in contact with my teens. Also the WiFi went out often rendering the app useless. On a side note it would be nice if the app allowed you to explore other carnival cruises without buying an internet package. When I am on a cruise I often think about what other cruises are offered so it would be nice to be able to explore other carnival cruises during down time on the ship.

Gabe was the life of the Cruise. Multifaceted and extremely talented, kept us all engaged and made sure we all have loads of fun and entertainment at the cruise all the time. The hospitality from the entire staff was amazing, Sahin at Sunshine helped us pick the best food and everything was delicious. The buffet, pizza place, luck bowl and Deli were amazing. The manager of boat from Blue Lagoon island was super fun. Didn’t knew boat ride could be so much fun. The boarding and off boarding was excuted professionally. Great cruise for friends and family.

1 st time cruise

I thought I was going to be sick from the sea but I was not. The boat was lit . We had a birthday party and when I tell you I will not take back that experience! I have booked two more already!

Everything was great the only thing that is missing is able to see your pictures online

Need to have the kids camp have access to message parents if needed because most of the time I am not in my room when they call if my kids need something! And the picture we should be able to look at it online that would be nice

Very helpful not perfect

Found helpful for listing day’s events in day and time order. Account showing charges very clear and understandable. Wish I knew about the adorable chat feature earlier for coordinating with members of our group- useful but group chat did not work.

Not Bad

The app is honestly a convenient idea! I love that you can pretty much do everything with. The account summary is great to track spending. The chat, which lets be honest should be included in the price for the internet package, was delayed and only notified once the app was opened but was helpful in giving our group the ability to keep in touch when not together. Overall really like the idea of it, keep improving & I’m sure it’ll be great!

No Notifications for Messages

Very disappointed that notifications did not work for messages. We’d get notifications when an event was coming up, but if one of our kids messaged us, we wouldn’t be notified unless we were in the app at the time. We tried changing various settings on our phones & in the app but nothing worked. An employee told us it’s only an issue for iPhones & that Android devices don’t have the problem. We ended up missing multiple messages amongst our group due to this issue and b/c my kids were often kicked off WiFi & didn’t realize their messages weren’t going out (separate issue, but didn’t help the situation). If carnival fixes the Message notification issue, the app would be 5 stars.

Updating

The app is functional, but if there is a group that are attending these functions together you have to personally talk to each individually separately instead of started a actual group chat

The app was great. One on one chat worked across the ship. Group chat was broken and the cut all communication the night before leaving.

This app was easy to use on the ship. It connected to the ships WiFi and I had all the information with me at my fingertips.

carnival radiance

i went on a weekend cruise with my family and i was in club 02 lessly who runs the club for 15-17 year olds was the best. i had a lot of fun and im happy i went because i made a lot of friends.

Easy to use

Easy to use and navigate. Would have like to see a chat feature for family and friends on board who elected not to take a WiFi package.

The ship app

Clearly the app has been developed over time and so it is a well-honed application. In fact, it is an absolute necessity to keep track of daily and nightly events, monitoring ship time changes, making meal reservations (breakfast and dinners), shore activities, local weather, ship announcements, and even debarkation details. Of course, WiFi has to be reliable and responsive. Given that the WiFi is not a problem, the app is an excellent planning tool.

Very helpful

I really like the schedule feature in the app. I wanted it to give me push notifications when I got chats from my family- I couldn’t figure out settings to make that happen (if it is even supported) and missing messages was a bit of a problem with family in multiple cabins. I also would like to be able to sort activities by venue or type of event (all shows or music or games, etc). Otherwise, very helpful for what it is.

Okay could be better

It would be nice if the app would announce text messages. Also would like to track friend’s locations(like the princess cruise app).

Family Vacation

The app works great on the ship. You lose connection but that’s to be expected when your in the middle of Ocean . Love the updates and being to set up chats with our family.

The APP is good and informative. It saves on paper. The WIFI kept dropping and that was the only downside. Overall the APP is a good implementation.

Love the app! Wish we could check in at the port with the app.

Life saver

The app worked great while on the cruise. It would let you see what upcoming events were happening and if someone you’re traveling with showed interested in an event also. The map of the ship that it provides was a life saver cause the maps near the elevators gave you really basic info. Only improvement I would have liked is if would show the hours that the dining areas were open.

The idea is great needs some tweaking

I do appreciate the concept of the app. We had a family trip and were able to communicate and keep up with each other on the ship, which can prove impossible before. However the WiFi kicks it off constantly and so you miss texts etc and it’s a real pain at times too…

Almost a five star

The app was helpful with all the fun activities going on. I did not give it a five because it does not notify you when someone sends you a chat. We were constantly checking our phones. Also we never received a notification to debark like the announcement said. We got frustrated a and just headed down.

Messaging

App didn’t let you know when you got a message from someone. You had to constantly be looking at your phone looking for a message.

HUB

Only thing I would change is for messages to show up as a notification or it would show a number on the App icon referring to how many messages you haven’t seen or opened.

Update App

Update the App to alert users when they receive a notification in the App, but for the most part the App is very convenient.

NYE 2024

I enjoyed every moment I was on the Firenze! What a great NYE Party we had & then on NY Day they had a party at 12pm with a balloon drop for the kids! The beauty of the ship is everywhere it’s amazing! It was not packed with people or kids. The elevators did not bother me at all, I liked not having to touch anything once in the elevator! Our room steward for rm 10621 exuded with kindness she is so cheerful she was exceptional the best!
